Postgraduate Bursaries

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering two £50 postgraduate bursaries to attend 'Protests Past and Present: Resistance and Persistence Towards Equality' Conference on 24th May 2019.

The bursaries are there to facilitate access to academic institutions which can be hindered by the financial burden involved in conference attendance.

In the spirit of resistance and persistence, we aim for our conference to foster an environment of inclusivity regardless of race, gender, caring responsibilities, socio-economic or class backgrounds.

The conditions to be eligible for this funding are:

  • The applicant should not be in receipt of funding from a research council body or otherwise.

  • The applicant must not be in a tenured position within an academic institution.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from those with caring responsibilities, those who are studying for a postgraduate degree without funding, and from those identifying as from marginalised groups including but not limited to, people of colour, LGB and queer individuals, and trans and non-binary people.

To apply, please send the conference organisers a written statement (up to 150 words) detailing how attendance at this conference will support the development of research.

Please send to: protestspastandpresent@gmail.com by the deadline of 30th January.
